FOLK DUO INFLUENCED BY SCOTTISH POETS AND STORYTELLERS
'The guest artists for the evening were Alan Reid and Rob van Sante.....the latter on able accompaniment .
This duo worked very well together on a rich collection of songs self-penned by Alan Reid,
who borrows from the influences of poets, storytellers and playwrights.
Burns, Robert Louis Stevenson and Jessie Kesson were just some of the writers he gave acknowledgement to.
Reid's lyrics are a stunning evocation of the decline and demise of Scotland's industrial
heritage-her coal, steel, the shipyards of the Clyde- and that forever far-flung soldier sent to fight someone else's war'
