As if that wouldn't be enough, fans of Battlefield Band also will enjoy the recently released effort of Alan Reid and Rob van Sante, titled "Under the Blue" on Red Sands Records.  This effort shows just what kind of family this band is. Reid is one of Battlefield's founding members. His keyboard and singing are known qualities. But as the group's soundman, Rob van Sante's considerable musical gifts have been revealed on this project.  All kinds of subjects and settings are covered in this music, including war, a wandering balladeer's love, a boxing match, and solitude of a lighthouse keeper. Each is evoked with care and a deep love of the land and influences, which inform them.
